Wow, thanks for reading. And the kind words. Definitely looking forward to sharing part 4 lol.

But definitely need details. Screenwriter turned fiction writer any feedback will go a long way. What did you like about the story?

Of course! I’m a new writer too so I completely understand.

I love the concept, and the way you describe the scenes. I can tell you used to be a script writer because it genuinely feels like I’m with the characters. I also love the conflict of “good Christian woman” and “letting go” the character struggles with. You feel her tug of wanting to go all in, but still coming up with excuses to hold herself back. Lastly, I really like the hidden mystery with D I keep wanting to find out more!

Wow, this is great feedback Sis. Encouraging. Good Christian vs letting go. That’s so deep and so in tuned with what I want readers to feel. Thanks for sharing.

Not you leaving us at Jesus take the wheel!! This is why TV shows annoy me, gotta make us wait. 😂😂 Ready for Part 4!

Cliffhanger are the worst lol. But thanks for reading Sis and glad you enjoying the story.

What did you enjoy most about Part 3?

Where do I begin??

I love how she braved speaking to Tameka and even before that when D didn't push her into wanting to know the story between her and Tameka.

I also LOVED the story about the macaroons and D giving some vulnerability there. Her listening to him and slowly softening is very relatable in a way of the struggle between seeing such a moment as genuine or not. On top of going on this journey with her and all the overthinking she's doing throughout the night, it really strikes the heartstrings because it's very realistic. Every thought she's having is validly understood. She is a very relatable character.

Wow, you get me lol. No, this means the world Sis. Believe it or not, new to fiction transitioning from screenwriting. Also, first time writing a female protagonist so really taking my time to get it right. This encourages me to hear because I’m big on getting voice down. Thanks for this feedback

Absolutely, no problem! I’m actually making the reverse transition. I love writing stories and poetry but I’m working more on screenwriting. But honestly you’re doing an amazing job. Looking forward to Part 4.

Would it be okay to ask some of your experience in screenwriting?

Sekou Browne's avatar

Sure, been writing screenplays for about 7 years. I’ve written about 7-10 screenplays (2 feature films). Most of my written work I produced and wrote it to be produced. 100% Self taught mixing natural feel for story with holy spirit and hard work.

My first feature film, “Second Take,” a faith based film about a filmmaking couple working on a documentary on marriage while in the midst of a broken engagement, drops later this year.

My goal is to turn screenplay into my 1st full length novel. Anyway, below is a link to view my short films. I love the detailed pattern of showing how the woman thinks. Often I do the same thing talking myself out of a good situation. Keep writing. I’m ready for part 4 😎

It’s 10pm! I’m going to have to wait 2 to twelve hours for the next chapter! That’s a long time! 😂 Sekou, this is great! The characters are relatable. The tug of war she is having over being a Christian in the dating world is real. I’m looking forward to the next chapter!
