What up Fam!
I have BIG news to share: I’m launching an anthology short story series, Storybook Love, that dives into the highs, lows, and hilariously awkward moments of Christian dating.
After years of writing and producing films that highlight the experiences of Black Christians, my love for storytelling has landed me in the world of fiction. Through Storybook Love, I’m combining my passion for authentic narratives with a heart for supporting Christians in their dating journeys.
But it’s more than just stories—we’re also providing practical guides to help you on your Christian dating journey.
Why This, Why Now?
After I got married, I realized something: I’d missed an opportunity to truly share my story. The messy, raw truths. The moments of struggle, doubt, and growth that could’ve helped someone else along the way.
I remember what it felt like to be single and searching—navigating faith, relationships, and everything in between. Back then, I didn’t always know where to turn or how to find stories that felt real, honest, and reflective of my experience. Storybook Love was born out of that desire—to create the kind of space I wish I’d had.
This is the perfect time to launch because I see so many Christians yearning for conversations that go beyond surface-level advice. The world has changed, dating looks different, and yet, the desire for real, God-centered love remains the same.
What Kind of Space Is This?
This isn’t just a newsletter—it’s a community. A place for singles, couples, and everyone in between to explore what love looks like when faith is at the center. Here, we’re honest, we’re raw, and yes, we laugh at the absurdities of it all.
I want this to be a space where you feel seen, encouraged, and reminded that love—though messy—is worth pursuing with God’s guidance.
What You Can Expect:
Weekly Posts: New stories and episodes exploring the crazy and beautiful world of Christian dating every Thursday.
Exclusive Content for Paid Subscribers:
Practical Guides: Alongside the stories, you’ll receive tips and tools like Reflection Guides, Red Flags Checklists, and Faith-Based Conversation Starters to support your own journey.
In the coming months, we’ll also introduce exclusive content including:
Behind-the-scenes looks at the storytelling process.
Bonus stories and extended scenes.
Monthly Q&A sessions on faith, love, and life.
Why You’ll Love It?:
Whether you’re single, dating, or married, Storybook Love is a space where you’ll feel seen, encouraged, and inspired. It’s a community that’s as honest about the awkward as it is about the beautiful—and rooted in faith every step of the way.
I’m so excited for you to join me on this adventure. Let’s dive into Storybook Love together—because love, even when messy, is worth pursuing with God’s guidance.

First of all, I just want to thank you for taking time out to create this newsletter! I didn't know why exactly I was drawn to your newsletter after reading one of your articles which i had to share with almost everyone in my circle because you were spitting straight up facts!! It is so encouraging to be seen, heard and for you to tackle those tougher questions that we typically do not see approached in Christian circles around dating.
Now I know why!!
"After I got married, I realized something: I’d missed an opportunity to truly share my story. The messy, raw truths. The moments of struggle, doubt, and growth that could’ve helped someone else along the way."
This is so key! Honestly sometime last year I found myself getting angry at those that went ahead and felt like they did not do enough to prepare or show the rest of us the way. Although, I can't blame them as perhaps that's just the way things worked out for them. But, having to wait and trust can be a really hard thing to do. What makes it more enduring is knowing that int he waiting work is being done by the person hoping to be found and the one in pursuit. So, thank you once again for starting this. I was already subscribed but reading this further highlight what my spirit was sensing.
Keep up the good work sir
Let’s go 🎉🎉🎉🎉
